Chats per agents, how is it set?

  • The maximum number of active chats is set by ImBox or your administrator when creating your user account.

    If you experience that this number is too high or low, you're able to change it in two ways. The first option is under Settings, which you find by clicking on your profile picture in the lower left corner. Then go to the section named Messages > Max active chats.

    The other way of changing the maximum number of chats is when you have at least one ongoing chat. Then you can change the number of chats by clicking on (+) or (-) buttons which is shown right above the chats. The menu turns red when you've acheived your maximum number of chat, and it stays white as long as there are open chat spots left.

    How are the chats devided by your agents?

    It's the setup in your account which mainly controls the number of chats each agent gets, in the long run. In the majority, this action is totally random, however, you can prioritize an individual agent or a group of agents who the chat will be sent to if active with chat slot left. This is communicated to us during the onboarding procedure, but is possible to set up over time. If you are interested to know more, contact your administrator or email us at hello@imbox.se.
