How do I use the translation feature in an ongoing chat?

  • To get a head start, before you check out the actual Translate function, go to Client Settings > Messages. Choose your own preferred Default translate language:

    When your settings are sorted, head back to Conversations and get ready to receive your Visitor chats.

    In an active Visitor chat you find the Translate function in the bottom right corner of the chat window. If you click the 9943b9ccbc206f0cedbacc5dc1296c62.png symbol, you notice that you are given control over which languages you want to use.

    If you’ve chosen a Default translate language in SettingsTranslate Visitor To and Agent From, will be pre-filled. Then, you just choose the Visitor’s From- and Agent To-language. When ready, press Start translating and the translation back and forth between you and your visitor will start:

    Last but not least, you are also able to preview and edit a translation before sending. When you’ve typed your message, just click Show translation to see and edit the translation.

    When ready, press Enter to send your translated message! 👨‍💻
